The problem
Alice in Borderland strands its cast in a parallel Tokyo where deadly games decide who survives, announced by giant playing cards that appear in the sky. For the final season, a trailer would not cut it. Fans needed to feel like the game had actually started, not watch someone else play it.
The position we took
If Borderland lives in the sky, so should the launch. Not a poster of the game: the game itself, announced overhead, exactly the way the show announces it to its own players.
What we made
We staged a 600-drone show that rebuilt the show’s own sky, piece by piece. A countdown ticked overhead toward the premiere. Giant card easter eggs teased the new season’s games. The finale itself, the Joker, the last card the cast must beat, appeared enormous over Praça do Japão in Curitiba, exactly like the sky in the series. We turned a local stunt into a global one.
The numbers
Across TikTok and Instagram alone, the stunt passed 9.9 million views and crossed 1 million combined likes, comments, saves, and reposts. And that’s before counting every news outlet, fan page, and bystander video that picked it up entirely on its own.
